How To Pre-Order Steam Deck

Valve recently announced the Steam Deck Handheld Gaming Console revealing every bit of information about it, Price, Specs, controls, pre-order availability and all that. Pre-orders for the Steam Deck has also started, and their shipping will start from December this year for the United States, Canada, the European Union, and the United Kingdom and we'll hear more about shipping in other countries by 2022. So far, the Deck is being called the Best Handheld Console in 2021, outranking the Switch.

With AMD RDNA 2 + Zen 2 Basic Custom APU, 16 GB Ram and SSD Storages, the Steam Deck is expected to have enough power for most of the AAA titles. Even tho it runs on Steam OS you will still be able to install and use PC software, Browse the web, watch streaming videos, do your normal productivity stuff, and install some other game stores as well.

Valve Steam Deck Variants & their Prices

There are a total of three different variants of Valve Steam Deck with prices starting from $300 and ending with $649 where the cheapest version comes with 64GB eMMC Internal Storage while the rest has NVMe Based SSD Storages. Although, the performance of all three variants is kinda similar.

The 2nd variant of the Deck that includes faster NVMe 256GB SSD storage, a carry case, and an Exclusive Steam Community profile costs $529, while the expensive one that comes with 512GB NVMe SSD storage, anti-glare etched glass and, an exclusive virtual keyboard theme, carry case and community profile bundle. costs $529.

Think twice before confirming the Reservation of any variant because once done, you'll only have access to the variant you selected and you'll not be able to neither purchase one more nor changing the variant.

You'll be able to place a reserve order for Valve Steam Deck directly from Steam Website. How to Pre-Order the Valve Steam Deck

  • Select Your Steam Deck Variant, and click Reserve (if SteamDeck isn't available in your country then you'll see the Reserve Now button a bit faded, also you'll see a notice saying Steam Deck is not available in your country right now)

Once you Reserve your order, you'll be put into a queue and when selected, Valve will contact you that Steam Deck is available to purchase. If you really want one, then you should place the order quickly because many people are making their pre-orders (recently the web page crashed due to a lot of rush). Please note that it's not guaranteed that you'll be able to purchase Steam Deck even after Reserving it, it will entirely depend on whether this deck will face stock shortage or not which is so likely nowadays.
